Old denim jeans, ideas to recycle
I’m pretty sure we all have denim jeans on our closet that we don’t use anymore, maybe because we’ve had them for so many times, or we just prefer some other now.
The best thing to do is to donate them; but, we also can do some other things to turn them into something else. Let’s see:
Easy! Take your scissors and cut the legs, you’ll have a short immediately, denim shorts are always in fashion! So instead of expending money on a new one, you can have it by cutting your old denim jeans.
If you already have shorts, then another way would be to turn your jeans into a sexy denim skirt that you can wear for the summer. This is a must clothing when the hot season arrives. Depending on the jean, you can sew an informal skirt for the beach or a chic skirt for a night out.
If you have sew skills, you can create a purse or a wallet, it could be a lot of easier than it sounds.
Cut one of the legs from your jean and sew one closed side from the pockets. Make a hole and insert a cording. Now you have a purse to put small objects, like the ones we are always loosing.
Those leftover pieces of denim that looked to be useless, could be used to protect your mobile. Covers are very useful for protection, go for it!
If you would like to take the maximum advantage from the cloth you’re getting rid of, then design clothing for your pet! Your best friend in four legs will really appreciate it.
Salomon Juan Marcos Villarreal, president of Grupo Denim, sees all these denim ideas very ingenious.”There’s always great ideas, our sewing people at Grupo Denim, make small denim back packs for children’s day or women purse for mother’s day, maybe a small detail but very original”, said Salomon Juan Marcos Villarreal.
